Photography contest

• Toesbeach.com First Annual Photo Contest begins December 15, 2020, and ends February 15, 2021 at 11:59pm Pacific Standard Time. By submitting an entry, each contestant agrees to the rules of the contest and states that he or she is 16 years old or older.
• Photos must've been taken in Playa del Rey between Oct. 1, 2020 and Feb. 15, 2021.
• The contestant certifies that he/she is the sole creator and copyright owner of the submitted photograph.
• The photo must be in its original state and cannot be altered including but not limited to removing, adding, reversing, or distorting subjects within the frame. 
• Minor adjustments, including the removal of sensor dust or scratches on  scans of negatives, dodging and burning, sharpening, contrast, toning, slight color adjustment and conversion to grayscale are acceptable. The addition and subtraction of objects is not permitted. Cropping is permitted. 
• We do not accept photographs submitted through the mail and do not accept more than one contestant per e-mail address. High-quality scans of non-digital photographs are acceptable. Digital photographs should be taken at the highest resolution possible.
• Winners will be revealed in February 2021 via Toesbeach.com Newsletter and posted on the Photography Contest Page of website. 
• Community will vote: one vote per person/email address
• Judges are the community!  Submit your email address under the photo to cast your vote!  One email per person please. 
• 1st place prize  $100 gift voucher from Hacienda Restaurants, $100 gift voucher from The Good Pizza, 6-months free medium mailbox from Playa Place ($180 value) and a Toes Beach Vintage t-shirt = $410 total value!
• 2nd place prize: $50 gift voucher from Hacienda Restaurants, $50 gift voucher from The Good Pizza,  $20 from Benny's Tacos, City Bonfire Smores package and a Toes Beach Vintage t-shirt = $190 total value!
• 3rd place prize: $25 gift voucher from Hacienda Restaurants, $25 gift voucher from The Good Pizza, $20 from Benny's Tacos and a Toes Beach Vintage t-shirt = $100 total value!
• Honorable Mentions:  Awards from various Sponsors and Surprise Gift Buckets from Hacienda Restaurants.
• One cash prize per person; winners may receive additional non-cash prizes.
• Online Features:  Toesbeach.com may select photos for highlight on its website or display in a publicly accessible contest archive at its sole discretion. 
• You retain your rights to your photograph; however, by entering the contest, you grant Toesbeach.com a royalty-free, perpetual, non-exclusive license to publicly display works of the entries, in any media now existing or later developed, for any purpose, including, but not limited to, this online contest exhibition, advertising and promotion.  Any photograph reproduced will include photographer credit as feasible. Toesbeach.com will not be required to pay any additional consideration or seek any additional approval in connection with such uses.

Conditions of Entry

• All entrants hold the Sponsors and their respective managers, owners, officers, employees, interns, associates, and volunteers harmless from and against all claims of any nature arising in connection with entrant’s  participation in the contest and acceptance or use of a prize. The Indemnified Parties are not liable for any costs, damages, injuries, or other claims incurred as a result of entrants’ participation in the contest or winner’s acceptance and usage of a prize. The Indemnified  Parties are not responsible for incomplete or misdirected entries, technical or network malfunctions or failures, or causes beyond their  control. Entrants are solely responsible for their entries. Entrants may not submit materials that are off-topic, partisan-political, contain advertising, nudity, personal attacks or expletives, or is otherwise abusive, threatening, unlawful, harassing, discriminatory,  libelous, obscene, false, sexually explicit, or that infringes on the  rights of any third party.

• The contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law. Toesbeach.com reserves the right to cancel the contest or modify these rules at its discretion. Toesbeach.com reserves the right to disqualify any entrant whose entry or conduct appears in any way to:  inhibit the enjoyment of others; tamper with the competition; violate these rules or other applicable law or regulation; infringe on the rights of third parties; or act in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner.
